My name is L. L. Walters and I refuse to wrap a Christmas present if I am not totally in the holiday spirit. Each night, I sit in the floor with the sounds of the holidays playing. Smiling, I think happy thoughts as I wrap each gift of the season, with the hope that my joy will be passed on to the one who opens it for the entire year to come.
I am the mother of 3 as well as the grandmother of 3 beautiful multicultural children. I believe it is the job of every caregiver to figure out what makes someone "shine". Christmas is that magical time when this can easily be achieved and everyone involved can end the night by going to sleep with a smile upon their faces. If you follow me on any social media, you will see I also have a passion for the Elderly. (I capitalize that because they deserve our respect.) After 10 years, I took my Father out of an assisted living home when he lost use of his legs. I took care of him in a wheelchair and on oxygen for 5 years afterwards and it was the best time of my life! I realized by watching him and the others in the home that all too often, our Elderly feel they have become a burden. But they only want to be a part of our lives! I wrote these books with that in mind, to give families and friends a new way to connect and include them Elderly more in the holiday celebrations, creating memories to be shared for many years to come. My goal is not to sell a million copies of this book (although a movie would be nice lol...). My goal is to give everyone another opportunity to take advantage of the magical season of Christmas, to make some new memories and use this time to better "see" all those around.
